Garrett Institute for Lifelong Learning (GILL) Winter Sessions are FREE to all GILL members, but members are encouraged to register. On February 5, Dick Carroll will present ?Andrew Jackson and the Cherokees? from 1-3pm at the McHenry campus of Garrett College. Through film and discussion, participants will examine how the Cherokee Nation was forced to leave their native lands in Georgia and relocate to what is now the state of Oklahoma (a trek known as The Trail of Tears).
