On February 5\, Dick Carroll will present ?Andrew Jackson and the Cherokees? from 1-3pm at the McHenry campus of Garrett College. Through film and discussion\, participants will examine how the Cherokee Nation was forced to leave their native lands in Georgia and relocate to what is now the state of Oklahoma (a trek known as The Trail of Tears). If you are not a GILL member and wish to join in order to register for a session\, please contact Continuing Education and Workforce Development at Garrett College at 301-387-3069.
