Join us for some authentic St. Patricks day fun. We will be serving a traditional irish dinner with corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, and irish soda bread. Markell will also be whipping up some delicious car bomb cupcakes. We will be featuring a few drink specials including Guinness, Harp on draft, Irish coffee, and much more. Maureen may even do some Irish Step dancing!
Keith Roberts will be playing at 7pm. Keith Roberts started playing guitar in 1960 and has performed onstage for almost all of the 50 years since. Initially influenced by the Yardbirds, Rolling Stones, Hendrix, Cream and the like, he sold his rock and roll band equipment, bought an acoustic guitar and headed for college in upstate New York where he played music by James Taylor, Crosby
Stills Nash and Young, Loggins & Messina, Van Morrison, Simon & Garfunkel, Little Feet, the Band and others. Eventually, Keith expanded his instrumental repertoire to include original compositions played on the banjo, 12-string guitar, percussion, bass, and keyboards. Vocally, Keith specializes in melodic leads and tight two part harmonization.
He moved to his grandparents’ farm in the Cove section of Garrett County in 1974 and, since then, has played solo, in duos and acoustic bands throughout the region. He is perhaps best known for his travels and recordings as half of “Smith and Roberts”, popular local singer/songwriters. He creates a dynamic acoustic sound that can be enjoyed by a broad range of listeners with diverse musical interests.
