Oakland's Pocket Park Movies kick off the season with Despicable Me. Borrowing heavily (and intelligently) from Pixar and Looney Tunes, Despicable Me is a surprisingly thoughtful, family-friendly treat with a few surprises of its own.When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds their love is profoundly changing him for the better.
Movies start about dusk. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the show. The location is a small park in downtown Oakland located at the corner of 2nd Street and Alder street. Admission is free.
