MoonShadow Cafe is excited to have the talented bluegrass band, Colebrook Road, come to play on our stage. These guys are tearing up the Pennsylvania bluegrass scene, touring and playing any chance they get. Expect a quality show from these quality pickers!
About Colebrook Road:
Drive through central Pennsylvania’s countryside and you’re bound to end up crossing one of the many thoroughfares called Colebrook Road. Take a listen to the sound of hard-driving original bluegrass and you’ll find a band that shares the same name comprised of members from vast musical backgrounds. The band started as a bunch of guys living in the Harrisburg, PA area connected by a love of acoustic music. Since then, the group has changed and expanded through many shows across the mid-atlantic region and the release of its first full length studio album featuring 10 original songs. With a sound that combines traditional straight-drive bluegrass with modern tonalities, technical playing, tight vocal harmonies, and a unique voice based on large amounts of original composition, Colebrook Road brings interest and excitement to their music and their audience.

Opening Act: Rob Levee Smith
Robert Levee Smith has appeared on stages alongside many of the artists that formed the core of the music scene in the 1970s and 80s including Pure Prairie League, Jonathan Edwards, Randy Newman and many others. He was part owner of Cornucopia Sound, one of the largest sound companies in the world during the early 70s, and toured with Rock ‘n Roll shows including the Jesus Christ Superstar Original English Opera Production. Always specializing in songwriting, Smith had his first song published in 1973 by Artie Resnick , Benji Music BMI, and spent the better part of a year working with Resnick, author of “Under the Boardwalk” and a host of other 60s and 70s top ten hits. But “Top 40″ has never been Smith’s favorite, so in 1975, he escaped the city and moved to the mountains of Garrett County, Maryland, where he teamed up with Keith Roberts to make a new style of music, a cross between bluegrass, folk, and rock. Smith & Roberts produced two albums of original music; the first, “Buffalo Run,” debuted in 1980. After touring with that album, the two took a long break to raise families. For their return, they formed a new group called the Smith & Roberts Band, and recorded “By Accident” in 2005 near Accident, Md. These days, Rob Smith is playing on his own, keeping it simple but always with a batch of new tunes to tickle the guitar strings and, hopefully, your fancy.
