Build confidence and control on the water with this focused 3-hour kayak roll clinic. Designed for paddlers looking to learn or improve their roll technique, this hands-on session provides personalized instruction in a supportive, low-pressure environment. In this clinic, you'll learn:
- • The fundamentals of body position, paddle mechanics, and boat control • Key components of the roll: setup, sweep, hip snap, and recovery • Tips for staying calm and confident underwater • How to troubleshoot common roll challenges • Variations of the roll (C-to-C, sweep roll, etc.) based on your goals and ability
- Led by experienced instructors, this session combines dryland instruction, on-water drills, and one-on-one feedback to help you progress safely and effectively—whether its your first roll attempt or you're refining technique. Perfect for: Whitewater kayakers of all levels who want to develop a reliable roll in calm water before taking it to moving water. What to bring: Your kayak and gear (including skirt, paddle and PFD) and a positive attitude. Or, utilize equipment provided by our Adventure Equipment Center (please notify us ASAP if equipment is needed).
