Garrett Institute for Lifelong Learning (GILL) sessions are FREE to all GILL members, but members are encouraged to register. Classes are available to GILL members. The National Diabetes Prevention Program is proven to help prevent or delay Type 2 diabetes in people who are at risk for the condition by focusing on making achievable and realistic lifestyle changes. Participants will learn ways to incorporate healthier eating, moderate physical activity, and problem-solving and coping skills into their daily lives. This program is being offered by Garrett County Memorial Hospital and will be presented by Jeannie Miller, RN and Mitzi Wiltison, RN.
