The first Business Before Hours of the new year is scheduled for Tuesday, January 26, 8:00 am in the Crawford Room at Wisp Resort. The topic will be an Economic Forecast with guest speaker R. Andrew Bauer, senior regional economist at the Baltimore Branch of the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank.
Andrew monitors the Fifth District economy with a special focus on Maryland and the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Prior to joining the Richmond Fed in 2006, Bauer worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. As a senior economic analyst on the Atlanta Fed's macroeconomic team, Bauer co-authored articles on macroeconomic forecasting, consumer inflation measures and shocks to the U.S. economy during recessions. Bauer is earned his B.A at American University and his Ph.D. at Emory University.
