SUMMARY:Public Art Display in Bankers Alley Benefitting Pop Pop's Path
DESCRIPTION:You do not want to miss Bankers Alley during this year's Autumn Glory Festival! Artists Rachel Precht and Bud Precht have designed a public art exhibition to benefit Pop Pop's Path.\n\n\n\nPop Pop's Path is a local Garrett County group associated with the Arnold & Virts families\, dedicated to raising awareness regarding Alzheimer's and Dementia. Currently associated with the Alzheimer's Association of Maryland\, Pop Pop's Path works to raise money for research and serves as outreach and support for families and locals living with the disease.\n\n\n\nIn addition to GCAC board members and staff\, Northern High School and Broad Ford Elementary School students created several of the attached cables in the installation under the direction of artist\, Rachel Precht.\n\n\n\nSpecial thanks to the Town of Oakland\, Town of Oakland Street Department\, Garrett County Arts Council and Oakland A&E District for their support of this project.
